Southlake Technology Park in Lenexa, Kansas is one of the largest corporate tech campuses in the Kansas City metro — a sprawling 750,000+ square foot complex spread across 11 buildings and dozens of tenants. When the property ownership decided to modernize the lighting across the entire park, they turned to Pure Light Electric.
Our team designed and executed a phased LED retrofit that touched every building in the park. We worked closely with the Southlake team to select fixtures that balanced energy efficiency, light quality, and durability — then installed them with minimal disruption to the businesses operating in each building. The result was a fully modernized facility delivered on time and on budget.

Southlake Technology Park wasn't empty during the retrofit — tenants were working in every building throughout the project. That meant every lighting swap had to be planned and executed zone by zone, with zero tolerance for unplanned power outages or prolonged disruption to the businesses inside.
Phased building-by-building retrofit with a precision crew.
Pure Light Electric developed a building-by-building phasing plan that allowed us to complete each structure independently, often working outside business hours where needed. We spec'd high-quality commercial LED fixtures for each space type — office, corridor, mechanical, common area — and executed the installation with a crew sized to hit the timeline without cutting corners.

All 11 buildings were fully retrofitted with new LED lighting, transforming Southlake Technology Park into a modern, energy-efficient campus. Tenants noticed the improvement immediately — better light quality and no disruption to their operations.
